You Are What You Think

In this generation we live in, immoralities are being promoted everywhere. We see on social media, and through music, or are flashed by the advertisement billboards while driving.

The sad thing is, these are all at our fingertips. What seems harmless for a few minutes, we don’t realize ends up influencing the way we think.

Now, what does the bible say about this?

Philippians 4:8 says, “Whatsoever things are true, honest, just, pure, lovely, good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.”

The Greek word for “think” means to meditate. what does it mean to meditate?
Psalms 1:2 “But his delight is in the law of the LORD; and in his law doth he meditate day and night.
So to meditate is when we spend time thinking about God’s word and God’s love. How much time are we spending, thinking about heavenly things than worldly things? To live right with God, we must think right. These can be done when we learn to fix our eyes on Jesus and not on the world.
